Boat licences are NOT required to hire houseboats.

Rental duration

Departure and return times are very much linked to tides so you may get a full day at either end of the hire or you may not. We can advise on this when you call to book.

Because of the sand bars at the entrance to our port, houseboats need to depart and return approx., within 2 hours either side of high tide.

Your houseboat hire comes with a small tender. Very handy for checking your crab pots. If you prefer to bring your own tinnie, please let us know when booking. You are more than welcome to bring your own.

Hinchinbrook Lazy Croc Houseboats also have available for hire, boats of various sizes and types. Rates are for one day. 8am to 4pm.

Polycraft 4.1m tinnie 25hp (licence required) $150 one day. $100 extra days.

Aluminium tinnie. 18hp (licence required) $90 one day. $60 extra days.

Aluminium tinnie. 5hp. (no licence required) $90 one day. $60 extra days.
